The Brand
Who we are, why we exist, and what we believe. Before you can teach PAKT, you have to understand what it is β€” and what it isn't.

PAKT didn't start as a business idea. It started as a feeling.

For years, we were in rooms that were full β€” but somehow still felt empty. Classes where the music hit, the workout was solid… but something was missing. People would come in, do their thing, and leave without ever really connecting. We kept asking ourselves: Why doesn't this feel the way it should?

Because we knew what it could feel like. We've both experienced those rare classes β€” the ones where the energy is electric, where the music pulls you in, where you look around and realize you're not just working out next to people… you're in it with them. Where instructors know your name. Where showing up feels like coming home.

Karina saw this firsthand in a small pocket of a studio she used to teach at. There was an early morning crew who started calling themselves the Croissant Club. What began as a shared class turned into something more β€” they started running together before or after class each week. They built rituals. They built friendships. They built a community.

It didn't stop there. They made an Instagram page. People started dating. Some of those relationships turned into something long-term. Lives genuinely intertwined because of a 6 AM workout class. That's when it clicked: this is what fitness can be when it's done right. Not just a place to sweat β€” a place that shapes people's lives.

We stopped waiting for that space to exist. So we built it.

PAKT is our answer to everything we felt was missing β€” intentional programming, music that actually moves you, and a structure that creates real connection, not just convenience. A place where people don't just attend classes. They belong.

That vision only works because of you. You're not here to fill a time slot. You're here to shape the experience.

Every class you teach. Every member you remember. Every moment you create where someone feels seen, welcomed, or pushed beyond what they thought they could do β€” that's PAKT. Because what you're building goes far beyond fitness.

Friendships are formed.
Confidence is rebuilt.
Routines turn into rituals.
Sometimes people meet someone who changes their life.

This manual isn't a rulebook. It's a playbook β€” everything we believe about what makes a great instructor, what makes a class unforgettable, and what makes a community worth coming back to.

Take what's here, bring your own energy to it, and help us build something people can't find anywhere else.

β€” Chris & Karina

Our mission is simple: to create the fitness experience we always knew was possible β€” but rarely found.

One built on real relationships, intentional programming, and energy you can feel the moment you walk in. A space where people don't just show up to work out β€” they show up for each other.

Because we believe fitness should do more than change your body. It should change how you feel, how you connect, and how you show up in your life β€” every single day.

Note
Philosophy copy to be confirmed with Chris before final publish. The following is the working version.
P
Purpose
Everything we do has a reason behind it. Every class, every interaction, every decision is thoughtfully considered β€” because real results, real community, and real experiences come from intentional work. We don't do things halfway here.
A
Accountability
To ourselves, to each other, and to every single person who walks through our doors. We say what we mean, we follow through, and we hold ourselves to a standard worth being proud of β€” on the floor and off it.
K
Kinship
This is a community, not just a studio. We know names, we celebrate wins, and we show up for each other beyond the hour. The relationships built here β€” between members, instructors, and staff β€” are what make PAKT worth coming back to.
T
Trust
Trust is everything here. Members trust us with their time, their bodies, and their goals β€” and we take that seriously. We build it through consistency, honesty, and always doing right by the people in front of us. Trust takes time to earn and no time to lose β€” we protect it fiercely.

The Wild is PAKT's signature strength and conditioning space. Think circuit training β€” but more fun and more intentional. Classes are structured, progressive, and designed to get real results. Weekend warriors are welcome to drop in Friday through Sunday, and post-class coffee hang is always part of it.

The Cohort Model β€” How to Explain It

The cohort is the heart of The Wild. When members join a cohort they commit to training 2x per week with the same group and the same coach on a recurring schedule. It's not just a class β€” it's their crew. Same faces, same coach, building together over time.

"You're not just signing up for a class β€” you're joining a team. Same group, same coach, twice a week. You'll know everyone's name by week two and be competing with them by week four."
Class Format

Circuit-based training with timed intervals and designated stations. Classes move through strength, power, and conditioning blocks β€” structured as a warm-up, working sets, and a group finisher. Every block has a purpose. Programming is progressive, meaning each session builds on the last.

Equipment
Squat racks & bench press
Dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, resistance bands
Sliders, plyo boxes, TRX / suspension trainers
Battle ropes and bodyweight stations
Equipment varies by programming cycle

The Den is The Wild's sister space. Don't let the low-impact label fool you β€” some classes will surprise you. It's where members slow down, tune in, and do the work that makes everything else better. Music beat-based, offered in both infrared heated and non-heated formats.

K-Method β€” Strength Γ— Pilates

Developed by founder Karina V, K-Method is the secret sauce to getting strong and sculpted. Combining weight training with Pilates-based movement to build lean muscle, strengthen your core, and create a body that's powerful and balanced. Music-driven, full-body, and built to deliver results you'll actually feel.

Variations: Ass & Abs  Β·  Arms & Abs

Tremble

Low-impact, high-intensity mat Pilates and reformer-inspired floor work. The kind of class where you'll be shaking by the end and wondering how something so quiet got you so hard. Form and breath drive everything.

Sculpt

Light resistance, big results. Sculpt combines Pilates principles with light dumbbells and bands to tone, strengthen, and lengthen. Music-driven and rhythmic β€” you'll feel every single rep.

Recover

The class your body has been asking for. Dedicated mobility, stretch, and breathwork β€” designed to help members move better, recover faster, and show up stronger. Not optional. Essential.

Equipment
Mats, Pilates rings, light dumbbells
Resistance bands, sliders, foam rollers, massage balls
Recovery classes may incorporate breathwork and guided stretching sequences
Part 2 of 5
The PAKT Way
The standards, values, and culture that define how we operate β€” on the floor and behind the scenes.

Being a PAKT instructor isn't just about being a great coach β€” it's about being the kind of person people want to be around. The standard we hold ourselves to goes beyond what happens in the room.

01
Magnetic Energy
People should want to be in your room. Not because you're the loudest β€” but because your presence makes them feel something. Fired up, supported, capable. That energy is a choice you make every single class.
02
Coachable & Eager to Grow
The best instructors never stop learning. We look for people who take feedback without ego, adapt without resistance, and are always asking how they can be better.
03
Reliable & Prepared
You show up on time, ready to go, with a plan. Members are counting on you β€” and so is your team. No last-minute scrambles, no excuses. Professionalism is a form of respect.
04
Genuine Care
You actually give a damn about the person in front of you. You know their name. You notice when they're off. You celebrate their wins like they're your own. That's what separates a good class from an unforgettable one.
05
Step-Up Mentality
We don't wait to be asked. If something needs doing, you do it. If someone needs support, you're there. PAKT is a team effort and everyone pulls their weight.

The culture we build behind the scenes is just as important as what happens on the floor. This is how we operate as a team.

β€”
Support Over Competition
We cheer each other on. A full class for one instructor is a win for everyone. There's no room for comparison or jealousy here.
β€”
Communicate Directly
If something's not working, say it β€” to the right person, at the right time. We don't do gossip, we don't do passive. We talk to each other like adults.
β€”
Respect the Space
The studio is shared. Leave it better than you found it β€” for your members, for the next instructor, for the team.
β€”
Show Up for Each Other
Take a class, cover a shift when you can, hype each other up. We're a community of instructors first β€” that energy has to start with us.
β€”
Protect the Culture
What we're building here is special β€” and fragile in the early days. Every interaction, with members, with each other, online β€” either builds PAKT or chips away at it. Choose wisely.
Part 3 of 5
Teaching a Superstar Class
The frameworks, rituals, and standards that define what a PAKT class looks like β€” from the moment you arrive to the moment the last member walks out.
01
Programming
Your program is your foundation β€” and it's make or break. Every class should be thoughtfully curated, flow logically, and make sense anatomically. Not so easy that members are bored, not so hard that it stops being fun. The sweet spot is challenging but doable β€” and always encouraging.
A simple program can be incredibly hard when the instructor knows how to push people β€” through energy, music, and attention. You don't need to overcomplicate it. You need to own it.
02
Names
This is non-negotiable at PAKT. Every class has an attendance list β€” use it. Learn your regulars, make a point of introducing yourself to first-timers, and use people's names throughout class. When someone hears their name called out mid-set, it changes everything. They feel seen. They work harder. They come back.
"Let's go, Sarah β€” last 10 seconds!"
"Mike, you've got this. Stay with it."
"First time here? Welcome β€” we've got you."
Greet people by name before class even starts.
03
Music
Your music tells the story of the class. A great playlist doesn't just hype the room β€” it carries people through the hour. Weave in different genres and remixes, and be conscious of leaning too heavily on one type of artist. From warm-up to finisher, there should be a clear arc.
Turn the music down when you demo or explain. Crank it when you push. The volume should never stay flat the entire class β€” it should rise and fall with the energy. If the music is the same level from start to finish, you're leaving something on the table.
04
Vocals
On the mic, clarity is everything. Your cues and explanations should be crisp, confident, and easy to follow. But more than that β€” your voice should tell the story of your class. Let it ebb and flow. Softer during recovery, more powerful during the push. Monotone loses the room. Screaming the whole class burns them out.
Calm and clear during your demo.
Building intensity as the set starts.
Full power at the peak.
Dropping back down to guide recovery.
Your voice is an instrument β€” use it like one.
05
Energy
Your energy sets the ceiling for the room. When you dip, they dip β€” it's that simple. For most class formats, your energy should be high, but high doesn't mean frantic. It means present, locked in, and alive. Read the room constantly. When people are deep in something hard, bring it up. When it's a recovery moment, you can breathe with them.
Energy is a choice you make before you walk in the door. Whatever is going on in your life stays outside. The moment you step on that floor, you are fully there for the people in front of you.

How you start your class sets the tone for everything that follows. Every instructor follows the same ritual β€” so every member gets the same great experience, no matter whose class they're in.

By the time your class starts, everything should already be handled. No scrambling, no sound checks mid-intro, no figuring out the circuit while members are standing around. Arrive early and run through this every single time.

Set up the studio for your specific program before anyone walks in
Check in with front desk β€” confirm first-timers and any milestones or birthdays
Plug in your phone or computer and do a full sound check
Mic is on and tested before the first member walks through the door
Review your attendance list β€” know your first-timers' names before class starts

Deliver this every class. Keep it warm, keep it fast. Always check for injuries and pregnancy before you start.

The Wild β€” Opening Script
"Welcome to [class name] β€” I'm [instructor name].

[Class name] is a [duration]-minute [cohort name] class β€” and if your cohort has a nickname, use it here. If not: Welcome to the Monday & Wednesday 6:30 crew.

At PAKT, we work as a team. Nobody gets left behind. If you're here for the first time, we've got you β€” welcome. And to all the regulars: please make our first-timers feel at home.

For everyone: listen to your body, communicate with me, and let's make this hour count.

Let's get into it. It's time for the Signature Wild Warm Up. In 3 β€” in 2 β€” in 1 β€” let's go!!"

Every first-timer will have already received a welcome email from you before they arrive β€” so they may already feel like they know you a little. Use that. Greet them by name, make them feel expected, and before class starts, walk them through the studio and each circuit so they have a base understanding before everyone else begins. No one should feel lost on their first day at PAKT.

Greet them by name before class β€” you already know who they are from the list
Give them a quick walkthrough of the studio and equipment
Show them each circuit or station briefly so they're not starting from zero
Check in on them during class β€” a quick nod or name call goes a long way

Front desk will flag any milestones or birthdays before your class. Shout them out right after your intro β€” make it a moment. And at the end of class, do it again. The front desk will provide the member with a personalized card, and more milestone celebrations are in the works β€” we'll update you as they come together.

The class doesn't end when the music stops. What happens in the moments after is just as important as what happens on the floor. This is where community is actually built.

The Wild
15-Minute Social
WILD doesn't end at the final song. Instructors are expected to stay on the floor for 15 minutes post-class to connect with members. This is intentional time to build relationships β€” not a quick exit. Catch your breath with them. Start conversations. Create moments that make people want to come back. This is where first-timers become regulars, and regulars become part of something bigger.
The Den
Connection Through Care
In The Den, connection happens through presence and attention to detail. Instructors are expected to hand out cool towels to members, be visible, available, and engaged on the floor, and initiate small, meaningful interactions. It's not about a formal "social" β€” it's about creating a grounded, personal experience where members feel acknowledged and taken care of.

PAKT offers complimentary coffee for members post-class. Point members toward it. Encourage them to stay. The coffee bar isn't an add-on β€” it's part of the experience. Use it as a natural extension of connection.

Every cohort has its own WhatsApp group, led by you. This is where the experience continues between classes β€” share reminders, celebrate wins, and keep energy and accountability high. This isn't just logistics; it's community building outside the studio.

First impressions matter. Always connect with first-timers after class in person β€” ask how they found the experience, answer any questions, and make them feel seen and welcomed. You can also tag them in your stories as a personal shoutout. A 30-second conversation or a thoughtful post can be the difference between someone never coming back β€” or becoming part of PAKT.

Safety is non-negotiable. Every instructor is responsible for the wellbeing of every person in their room.

Before Every Class

Always ask about injuries, pregnancy, and any conditions that may affect participation. Check that all equipment is set up correctly and nothing is a hazard. Know where the first aid kit and AED are located β€” every single time.

During Class

Scan the room constantly. Watch for signs of overexertion β€” dizziness, pale skin, laboured breathing, loss of form. Always offer modifications. Never pressure someone to push through pain. If something doesn't look right, stop and check in immediately.

When to Stop Class
A member loses consciousness
A member reports chest pain or severe dizziness
An injury occurs that requires immediate attention
Any threat to the safety of the room

Do not hesitate. The class can wait.

Emergency Procedure
1
Stay calm and assess the situation.
2
Call 911 if required.
3
Send someone to alert front desk immediately.
4
Clear the room if necessary.
5
Administer first aid if trained and it is safe to do so.
6
Do not leave the member alone.
7
Report the incident to management as soon as possible.
Injury Modifications

When a member flags an injury, always offer a modification β€” never just tell them to sit it out. Use your training. When in doubt, refer them to a lower-impact option or suggest they check with their healthcare provider before participating.

Part 4 of 5
Studio Operations
The day-to-day standards, systems, and protocols that keep the studio running β€” and keep you looking professional.

You represent PAKT every time you walk through that door β€” and every time you don't. These standards exist to protect the brand, the members, and each other.

The Wild
All black, always. PAKT-branded t-shirt or tank. Clean, put together, and ready to move.
The Den
Any colour workout set β€” no uniform required. Just make sure it's clean, appropriate, and looks intentional. You're still representing PAKT.

Arrive a minimum of 20 minutes before your class β€” every single time, no exceptions. We're new, first-timers are frequent, and the extra time matters. Use it to set up, check in with front desk, review your attendance list, meet any first-timers in the lobby, and complete your sound check before a single member walks in. Showing up on time is the bare minimum. Showing up prepared is the standard.

β€”
Hygiene
Come fresh. No strong perfume or cologne β€” especially in heated classes. No body odour. We're in close quarters with our members and this matters more than you think.
β€”
Hair
Hair should be tied back or out of your face while teaching. Clean and intentional.
β€”
Jewellery
Keep it minimal while teaching β€” especially in The Wild where you're demoing movements. Nothing that gets in the way or poses a safety risk.
β€”
Phone
Your phone is for teaching only β€” music, timing, class tools. No personal scrolling, texting, or calls during class. Your members deserve your full attention.

Your online presence is an extension of this brand β€” but you don't need to turn your Instagram into a PAKT account. Be yourself. Just be mindful. Please avoid publicly sharing anything that involves:

Nudity or sexually explicit content
Political opinions or divisive commentary
Negative talk about other studios, instructors, or fitness brands
Complaints about PAKT, members, or work situations
Excessive or inappropriate alcohol or substance content
The Test
When in doubt, ask yourself: would I be comfortable with Karina and Chris seeing this? If the answer is no β€” don't post it.

Run through this every time. No exceptions.

01   Check in with front desk and confirm your attendance list
02   Confirm first-timers, milestones, and any relevant member notes with front desk
03   Grab your class roster to bring into the training space
04   Make sure you're in full uniform and presentation-ready before stepping on the floor
05   Complete all tech checks β€” mic, sound levels, and lighting
06   Start background music before members enter β€” the vibe starts before class does
07   Set up all stations and equipment for your program. Equipment should already be clean and reset from the previous class β€” flag anything that isn't
08   Greet first-timers in the lobby and walk them through all stations before class starts β€” while returning members begin warming up inside
09   Start class on time and deliver your opening intro as outlined in Part 3

Leave it better than you found it β€” every time.

01   Direct members to return all equipment to its designated spot
02   Collect all your items β€” mic, phone or computer, class roster β€” and clear the instructor station
03   Leave the space clean, organized, and ready for the next class
04   Head to the lobby for a minimum of 15 minutes β€” connect with first-timers first, then your regulars
Part 5 of 6
Growth & Community
How to build your brand, fill your classes, and grow alongside PAKT β€” because when you grow, we all grow.

Social media isn't just a nice-to-have β€” it's one of the most powerful tools you have as an instructor. Not just to grow your classes. But to grow yourself.

Karina built her personal brand early in her career while teaching at a previous studio. By consistently showing up online β€” sharing her classes, her energy, and her perspective β€” she didn't just grow a following. She built trust. That trust translated into:

Full classes
A recognizable name in the space
Brand partnerships and additional income streams
Opportunities beyond the studio

And here's the important part: it didn't just benefit her β€” it benefited the studio too. Her content brought people into the room. Her presence elevated the experience. Her growth fuelled the brand.

The Model
When you grow, PAKT grows. When PAKT grows, you grow.

What We Love to See
Behind-the-scenes at the studio
Your classes in action
Member shoutouts
Your fitness journey
Your personality, your voice, your energy
What to Avoid
Nudity or sexually explicit content
Political opinions or divisive commentary
Negative talk about other studios, instructors, or brands
Complaints about PAKT, members, or work
Excessive or inappropriate alcohol/substance content

This is bigger than just posting content. It's about building something that supports you long-term β€” inside the studio and beyond it. We're not just building PAKT. We're building people.

A full class doesn't happen by accident. The instructors who consistently pack their rooms do the same things β€” and none of it is complicated.

00
Own Your Slot
You don't build a full class by chance β€” you build it by being there. Week after week. Same time, same energy, no gaps. If you're frequently subbing out or missing classes, it's nearly impossible to create momentum. Members build routines around consistency, and over time, they begin to associate that time slot with you. That's how a class goes from empty β†’ familiar β†’ full β†’ waitlisted.
01
Be a Superstar Instructor
This is the foundation of everything. Program with intention, use names, bring energy, let your music tell a story, and use your voice. People come back to great classes β€” and they bring their friends.
02
Show Up on Social
At minimum: one feed post per month and weekly stories. Use your branded PAKT schedule template, tag @paktfitness, and give people a real feel for your classes. Authenticity over perfection β€” always.
03
Use Your Unique Booking Link
Every instructor has a personal booking link through Arketa. Add it to your bio, share it in your stories, and send it directly to anyone who shows interest. Make it effortless for people to book your class.
04
Personally Invite People
Especially in the early days β€” friends, family, past clients, and your network. A personal invite is worth ten Instagram posts. Don't be shy β€” you're inviting them into something great.
05
Follow Up with First-Timers
A quick message after someone's first class is one of the highest-return actions you can take. They felt something in that room β€” remind them of it. Keep it personal, not copy-paste. That follow-up is often what turns a one-time visit into a routine.
06
Re-Engage Your Cohort
Use your cohort WhatsApp to keep the energy alive between sessions. If someone hasn't shown up in a while, reach out. A simple "we missed you this week" goes further than you think.
07
Be Visible in the Lobby
People book instructors they feel connected to. Be present before and after class. Say hello, introduce yourself, and connect with members β€” even if they're not in your class. Your reputation at PAKT is built in these small moments.
08
Support Your Fellow Instructors
Shout out each other's classes, take each other's sessions, and guide members toward formats that complement yours. A rising tide lifts all boats β€” when PAKT wins, we all win.
09
Show Up Beyond Your Class
Run club, launches, community events β€” be there. Members notice who shows up outside of their scheduled class. It signals that you're part of something bigger than just your time slot.
